Tiger Woods was injured in a critical automotive crash, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Division stated Tuesday, including in a press release that paramedics pulled him from the wreckage with the rescue device referred to as the “jaws of life.”
The incident occurred about 7:12 a.m. native time on Tuesday close to the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verde, a coastal metropolis of about 42,000 folks in Los Angeles County.
Mr. Woods’s car was touring north on Hawthorne Boulevard at Blackhorse Highway when it crashed, the Sheriff’s Division stated.
“The car sustained main injury,” the division stated.
Mr. Woods was faraway from the car with a hydraulic spreader device, usually referred to as the “jaws of life,” by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, and he was then taken to a hospital. His situation and the extent of his accidents weren’t instantly clear.
The incident is being investigated by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Division Lomita station.
